I live at the base of the Mt. Blue Sky Wilderness Area in Idaho Springs Colorado. I am inspired daily by my beautiful surroundings with Aspens, Colorado Blue Spruce and the canyons and mountains right outside my studio window. Painting and the creative process are my passions.

What is Reverse Painting?

My painting are done by applying paint in a reverse order, foreground to background on the back of a sheet of clear acrylic. The result is an image that is very dimensional. The image is then highlighted on the front with a pallet-knife creating more depth, vibrancy and texture. The premise is that you end up with a painting that is composed of two images separated by a clear space creating depth that is impossible to replicate in any other 2D art form.
